		<description>Salsa was something you eat until Fania Records needed a sales boost for its Latin music in the 1970's, and people generally danced a group of dances like mambo (essentially the same as New York style salsa), son, vallenato, etc. They didn't invent it out of thin air, as one of their singers had been using the word &#34;salsa&#34; as a call in some of his songs, but nobody would have considered the dances they were doing to be &#34;salsa&#34; until the Fania sales pitch went out.&lt;br&gt;&lt;b&gt;References : &lt;/b&gt;&lt;br&gt;</description>
