what should i wear for my first belly dancing lesson?
i start next week. I am latina and i can move my hips.
I think learning belly dancing is gonna be so much fun!!
Do I have to show my belly thou? I don’t now what to wear. Shouldn’t I wear something that shows how my belly is moving so the instructor can correct me?

I think wearing a form fitting tank top, leggings, and a belly dancing wrap (those things with the jingly bell things) would be appropriate, and cute. When I took belly dancing classes everyone wore something similar to that. In most places wearing revealing clothing can be looked down upon and makes others feel intimidated, especially if you are "sexy". Belly dancing is a lot of fun, but it IS harder than it looks, and you will feel results immediately!

my mom did this with her sister a few years ago (2 or 3) and LOVED it. i think she normally wore work out type clothes at first, eventually she just kinda went with the flow. be prepared to take your shoes off so maybe wear flip flops or something easy to slip on and off. you can show off your tummy, or not. eventually you of course will because you guys will have recitals and stuff. have fun! i know my mom loved it!!
